something's up, the 450 SL in that condition should go for a lot more than that, even with those miles, I mean like 2-3 times as much.

But they aren't worth it. People are now accepting pennies because they're realizing no one will buy them.
I was talking to a guy who had like a 92 or 93 320SL R129 car. He was asking $18k for it, because "it's the cleanest one his mechanic has ever seen." The 320SL has a straight 6. You can pick up a used V8 or V12 R129 for $10-15k. They're wonderful cars, but held no value over time.

I saw 75 and merc and was like OO YEAH ....then oooo :(
